Who is Hillcreek Homes?

Hillcreek Homes was started in 2024 with one idea in mind - provide a level of service and quality that folks pay millions of dollars for to ALL clients. Whether you need to replace one window or build a house from start to finish, Hillcreek Homes will be there to walk you through every step of the process and be transparent. Throughout the decades a lot of general contractors have gained reputations for being untrustworthy, sneaky, and practicing bad business ethics. Hillcreek Homes is here to prove that we, as an industry, can do better.

How we started.

Hillcreek Homes was started by one individual, myself, Anthony Hill, but it took close to 15 years and a lot of help along the way to make my dreams into reality. Growing up with a father as a brick, stone, and block mason, it was clear my future was going to be in construction in some capacity. My summers as a teenager consisted of slinging block and brick and simply being present on a jobsite. After graduating high school, I was confident that manual labor wasn’t for me (more on that later), so I looked to getting my 4 year degree. It took me 5 years and one transfer to finish, but I received my degree and went directly into the workforce in Raleigh, NC as an intern for a purchasing department for a residential construction company. It was here that I gained most of my knowledge, working my way up from intern to director of purchasing and estimating in 7 years. It’s this training and knowledge that propelled me to have the confidence to go out on my own, get my GC license, and create Hillcreek Homes. As of writing this, most of my days are spent on site, doing the manual labor I went to college to avoid, working right alongside my subs getting the work done.

Where we’re going.

Hillcreek Homes is just starting, and we’ve got a lot of work to do in the next 40 or 50 years. We’re in the midst of one of the worst housing crisis’ this country has ever seen, yet construction companies and national builders are reporting record profits. Somewhere there is a disconnect. I firmly believe you have to be the solution to the problem, and based on what I have seen throughout the industry in my time, there’s a lot of room for improvement across the board. Subpar standards, low quality workmanship, and general misunderstanding of common building practices is running rampant, and we’re here to help clear up any confusion and lend a helping hand.
